Christmas is less than a week away! If you're looking for something fun to do around central Indiana, there are plenty of options - both indoor and outdoor. Here are five of our favorites:
This ongoing event brings "the old world charm of Christmas in Germany" here to Carmel. The market includes German shops, foods, and an ice rink. Attendees can also enjoy performances by various musicians - some playing traditional German music.
This month long event celebrates the season with various events each Saturday in December. On the 23rd, visitors can partake in a "reindeer food bar" to prepare special treats for Santa's reindeer.
3. Handel's Messiah-
The classical piece "Messiah" has remained a tradition for the Christmas season. On December 21 an 22, The Palladium in Carmel is hosting it in concert - performed by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir.
Over December 22 and 23, enjoy a specialized Conner Prairie experience including breakfast/dinner with Santa, "Conner Prairie by Candlelight", and the Gingerbread Village. Although some of the ticketed events are now sold out, Gingerbread Village is still open!
A trip to the Zoo is a new experience around Christmas time. Their are light displays throughout, Santa's village, and some of the animals are awake to be apart of the fun - including the seasonal addition of reindeer.
