The month of October is winding down, which means Halloween is almost here. This year the holiday falls on a Tuesday, so many local events around Zionsville and Carmel occur the weekend before.
Here's your local guide to 2017 Halloween events in Zionsville, Carmel, and Fishers:
Boone Village Halloween Party - Thursday, October 26
The Zionsville High School Jazz Band kicks off the party with a performance starting before 5:30 p.m. A costume contest starts at 6, and kids can also enjoy trick or treating, games, and more.
Little Haunt On the Prairie - Thursday, October 26
This Carmel event offers spooky activities for preschool-school aged children, including entertainment, craft stations, spooky trail, live owls with educator, marshmallows to roast, and hayrides.
Halloween Dog Walk - Friday, October 27
There's no reason humans should have the fun! Dress up your dog (and yourself!) and celebrate the season with a group walk through the Zion Nature Sanctuary at 6 p.m.
Headless Horseman at Conner Prairie - October 26-29
The highlight of this event is the haunted hayride - where riders get chased by the headless horseman. While you're waiting, attendees can try out the new 7 acre corn maze or enjoy a live performance of "Legend of Sleepy Hallow."
Boo Bash - Friday, October 27
This annual event provides a safe and friendly environment for children of all ages to enjoy games, trick or treating, and live music. It kicks off with "A Sensory Friendly Hour" at 5 p.m. Winners of the costume contest will be announced during the main event beginning at 6:30.
Historic Irvington Halloween Festival - Saturday, October 28
Events for this week-long celebration kicked off on Monday with a spooky organ concert, and include trivia nights, a zombie bike rides, and a costume party. This all leads up to Saturday, with a street fair incorporating over 100 vendors, a costume parade, and live music - organized by the Historic Irvington Community Council.
Ghost + Goblins 5k/2k for Carmel Education Foundation - Saturday, October 28
This fundraising run raises money for Carmel Clay School's education grants. Costumes are encouraged as long as participants can safely run in them. Prizes will be awarded to a few different categories.
Boo N Brew - Saturday, October 28
Kids at this event (hosted by Century 21 Scheetz, sponsored by Laura Heigl) can enjoy "Malloween" - a mall-wide trick or treating event within the safety of Clay Terrace. Meanwhile, of-age adults can enjoy a drink in the beer garden! You can also enjoy live music, hayrides, and balloon artists.
Fishers Halloween YMCA Extravaganza - Saturday, October 28
Described as "Not-so-scary Halloween fun" includes hayrides, a bonfire in the woods, craft-making, a bounce house, and more.
